"Location was perfect for Tamworth Town, as soon as I arrive quite late in the evening I was greeted by a friendly smile and the WIFI code was given to me as a priority, perfect no one want to hunt or ask for the code. "I’m loathed to give a bad review, but we stayed during hot weather and the room was unbearable, at least 35C for the whole night. The top of the sash window was painted shut and the bottom only opened 2inches because of the safety latch. It’s a shame because the pub was nice, lovely old building, easy parking, the bar was good and the staff were great. "Great pub/hotel/bistro in a beautiful peaceful village. Staff were extremely helpful. We had a wedding with so needed an early check-in and late return. Both were accommodated for. Room was clean, fresh. Continental breakfast was included in price. We also paid extra for cooked b/fast. Very nice freshly cooked, hot, good quality products. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend the Star Inn and stay there again. Or even go for a nice meal. Give it a go ! "

On our second and last morning I didn't fancy another of the pubs excellent full English breakfast so asked for porridges and a sausage bap. I was told that I was only allowed one item off the menu even though I feel the cost of my preference was less. The waiter offered to go and enquire if my request could be granted but I refused his offer saying I would go for the full breakfast which he said "was probably best""
