"Tough to get to but nice parking area. Google Maps takes you the wrong way so lookout. My room heater didn’t work and the lights in the bedrooms area didn’t work so had to depend on the glow from the bathroom light which did work. One of two small night stands didn’t work and the one that did had a short circuit so it went on and off. Breakfast was really weak but a very nice effort. This is a small place so it’s great if your expectations are in proper alignment. Location is fantastic....

"Excellent location for exploring the Gjirokastër bazaar — right in the heart of it all. Arriving close to midnight made parking a bit tricky to find at first, but once we explored the bazaar the next day we discovered a convenient parking deck nearby with shortcuts that made getting to and from the hotel with our bags easy. Our room had stunning views of the mountains, the castle, and the city below — an unforgettable setting. Highly recommend!"

"It was a privilege to stay in the old town next to the castle in Gjirokaster. High above the modern city, next to castle and the old bazaar, it was not only convenient but an experience of a life from another time. Ever wonder what it’s like living way up on the hill in the castle? Last night residing in the old town, adjoining the castle, was that experience. I could give 5 stars if it wasn’t for the room with a window facing the reception ceiling and the hanging lights that were always on my way to hit them (great work interior designers)."
