"I never saw an image of the exterior of the building in the advertisement on Expedia. I never read that access to the upper floor was via a steep staircase which made carrying two suitcases to one’s room difficult. The place appears to be managed by the Wat Hotel next door but without access to the Wat’s facilities. The walls between the rooms were such that one could plainly hear conversations next door. The room was fine but the experience frankly disappointing."

"This was my favorite accommodation in Japan. It was very cozy and made me feel home. We had the Sennari room. There were 4 beds in two rooms but we only used two. There was a microwave, fridge, kitchen sink with dishes/soap, washer/dryer, kitchen table, sofa. It was two levels with bedrooms upstairs. We never saw our host. It was self check in with a code. "Good location, clean and new premises. The spa is ok, however many people do not follow the rules of a spa. They don’t shower before entering the pool, they don’t shower before entering sauna or afterwards jumping in the spa from sauna…. They talk loudly when in groups…. there are signs about the rules but I believe there should be on other languages other than English and Japanese….."

"Room was clean and staffs was friendly, they offer access to the onsen of another hotel (10 minutes walk) which belongs to the same group. Very near Takayama station and walkable to the morning market and the old town district. The only problem is with their air ventilation system, we constantly smell smoke in the room which coming off from the air vent, we have to open the door to let fresh air come in the whole night. "
