When we first checked into our double room at Ngan Ha, we found it to be a little small. The size was accurate as per the description we read when booking, but having enjoyed some more spacious rooms in our previous hotels, we struggled to come to terms with the smaller space with no windows (making it a little stuffy and smelly) and so upgraded our room to a 3-person room. This was much spacious and had a large window that looked straight over the Ben Tanh night markets. Unfortunately, the window didn't open so this room was also a little stuffy, and the air conditioner didn't really keep up to the warm temperatures outside.
The staff were a little disappointing at this hotel. They weren't as pleasant and friendly as other hotels we'd come across, and they weren't very familiar with some of the major sites around the city that we asked about. But, they did book a couple of good tour for us to the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta.
The location of the hotel was great for shopping as we were able to make plenty of trips to the Ben Tanh and night markets as we could easily drop our armfuls of purchases back to the rooms and continue shopping.
A decent hotel, with sightly lack-lustre staff, in a good location.
