There was actually a mixup with my booking and I did not stay at this homestay. I was contacted after I made the booking to explain that there had been an overbooking and I was offered to stay at the family’s other homestead just down the road. The Sam Home was a very new and beautiful property. I enjoyed my own bungalow and had a choice of breakfast beside the beautiful pool. I was provided with a bicycle for free, due to a mixup, and was able to ride it to the close by sites. It was also very easy to get a Grab bike to pick me up and take me into the old town for dinner, which was a lot more lively than I expected. There were tons of restaurants close by as well, that were all lit up beautifully at night. This was the most comfortable bed and the softest towels that I have used since I have been travelling around Vietnam. It was also the cleanest place I have seen in Vietnam and the pool, although I did not get a chance to use it on my short stop, was beautiful and huge. I would definitely stay here again and take more time to relax by the pool.
