The Sands Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The Friendly Staff and the Lady that was Servicing the Rooms on Saturday was Awesome. The Restaurant Staff on Saturday Night (The Waitress and the Bar Person) was Awesome as well, Down to the Food that was provided for the Dinner that Night was Beautiful. Sorry I did not get Names but they will know who they are, and we were too full on Sunday to get Breakfast. The Accommodation was Excellent and the Bed was so Comfortable we will be back."

"Karen and whānau were fantastic!! Took me back to the good old days when you get greeted at the door and escorted me to my room. We had the 2 bedroom unit for our whānau and it was all you need for a whanau getaway. Beds, kitchen, utensils, bathroom, heaps of space, and to finish a busy day around town and the cape we chilled in the lovely clean spa and was good seeing cctv around feeling safe if anything went down, not that we felt unsafe. We had a blast!! Thank you whaea Karen, whānau and the fat north. We will defs be back"

"Beautiful spot by the river with river walk and kayaks for hire - we stayed in pet friendly cabin with bunks for 5, fridge and good supply of crockery but lots of other camping options including lovely glam tents with private balconies overlooking the river - cool communal dining area with pizza oven and trays of pizza making - staff very helpful and allowed early check-in"
