"The staff was kind but not helpful. The rooms are NOT clean. The pool is horribly maintained. The water was so cloudy. The ad stated the pool was heated but the water was ICE COLD! The breakfast area was clean but not tasty. The coffee tasted as if it was made with filthy smelly water. But the worst was HAVING A LIVE COCKROACH CRAWL ON THE BLANKETS WHILE I WAS IN BED!!!!"

"Nice enough staff. Breakfast was simple but did the job. Dining options walkable. Would stay again. My room had what seemed like a floating floor poorly installed. It moved and creaked with every footstep. Would wake people if through the night. Also a strong smell of mothballs, I suspect hiding the smell of smoke. It gave the feeling of dirty even though the room was not."

"We were traveling for business and loved the Columbia area so we stayed to check out the Lake Murray area. Every member of the staff was so kind and helpful and went overboard to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Shout out to Shirlina (not sure of spelling) and Amy (NOT Mildred). These ladies are excellent ambassadors of the Marriott brand and deserve all the praise and recognition for their efforts and dedication in serving your customers. Thank you for making us feel at home away from home. We will be back!!"
