"I loved being here and plan to go back soon. It's idyllic. Beautifully kept and presented; with very kind and professional staff. I didnt know what time the event I was attending nearby would end; and as soon as I came back they brought me a wonderful platter of fish and much more. Saying theyd rather I had it prepared freshly than keep it waiting. Beside a river, in glorious, quiet countryside with the dramatic fells above; I can't wait to stay longer and explore the area. Can't recommend highly enough."

I have worked all round the country and this has been by far the best hotel/ spa i have stayed, beautiful grounds, lovely spa facilities, polite smiley welcoming staff! Room cleaned everyday. Didnt eat thier so carnt comment on food but so many takeaways to order from."

"What an amazing place to stay and in beautiful surroundings. The rooms were very large, clean, well furnished and had everything you needed to relax including coffee and tea making facilities. All the staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. Lovely bar, great food for dinner and breakfast. Can't rate this place enough and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Thank you to everyone involved at Park Head Hotel."

"I had a lovely big room and bathroom. Both rooms were clean, the only comment I could make about the bathroom is that a simple spray of mould and mildew remover would get rid of the black line along the bath. The breakfast was excellent and well cooked, the girl who served was pleasant and chatty. Only downside, for someone who is just over 80, I found the stairs difficult to negotiate with my case, it would have been helpful if the young man who checked me had asked if I needed help. I would certainly stay there again."

"Good breakfast cooked fresh every morning. Evening meals were generous though most with chips so would be nice to have with mash or new spuds instead. Staff always polite, helpful & friendly. Our king room (number 4) over looked the church & had a double aspect so was light & bright. Bathroom was a squeeze in the sink area & the shower door needs attention as very noisy when moved. We would stay again if in the area."
