I hesitated about the tunnels at Needles Highway but with her warm assurance, I drove one of the memorable drives in Custer State Park. Needles Eye wasn't as narrow as I thought. The motel and the room were dated. I personally don't like beds with those old school coverings. That said, I would stay there again. "The motel was clean and quiet. Numerous food options at the other end of the parking lot. Within walking distance of attractions, restaurants, shops, displays, and things to do. In addition, it was the cheapest place I could find but did not sacrifice quality. A welcome surprise."
