"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "After an amazing party in the afternoon we were unable to check until after 4;pm by which time no room on the lower floor was given as an option. The room is in the annex and described as a 2 minute walk. But that's not true for older people who have issues with walking. Once in the room which was hot. No heating was visible: the automatic fan and light combination was awful. Additionally no WiFi available. At 3am a red/green light started flashing which turned out to be the TV; eventually we found the off switch. Breakfast was greatly anticipated but sadly did not meet a 4star standard I can't even describe the black pudding. This was a greatly anticipated visit. I will try and see if it's improved in 6 months time."

"Beware web site descriptions do not match realities. A 'Deluxe' room is described as having a bath tub and countryside views. We had no bath and out look across the car park. Room had no heating (helpful staff member brought in a plug-in heater), broken windows, missing light bulb and no clothes hangars. Minor things but not what you want when arriving late a night. In the morning , woken by folk in room above as the floors creek and there is a lack of sound insulation. At breakfast, bread, pastries and butter ran out. Good bits: EV chargers work well. Hotel staff all v friendly . Overall, disappointed to not receive the experience we had been offered and paid for."

"The houses are well designed and stylish. The bed very comfortable and the shared spa, bar and gym a real luxury. Only downside for me was the staff, not all but some were not as welcoming or as attentive as I would like for the price. Breakfast does stay hot and the some of the layout etc needs thinking about. Please also put access to water by the sauna/spa."
