"We loved our stay at the Pingviman Hotel in the old town area of Chiang Mai. This was the first hotel we stayed in and it was a beautiful, smaller, boutique style hotel with traditional Thai elements with lots of wood and antique furniture. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to the main area with all the restaurants but we love walking so that was perfect for us. We loved the staff. "Kantary Hills is a very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast. We were given an upgrade to a huge suite, which was generous and unexpected. The service all around was great. The one thing to know is that it's on the departure path of the airport, so it can be quite noisy during the day. It seems between 10pm and 8am or so there are no flights, though."
