"We booked a queen deluxe room for one night. Picked up the room keys in the afternoon but didn’t go to the room straight away as we had a function to go to. On arriving back later that evening on opening the room we were quickly disappointed. Generally the room was quite dusty and felt dirty. The curtains need replacing and were not hanging correctly. The TV remote didn’t work and the back of the air conditioners remote was missing. In the bathroom there was old soap in the soap dish, no hair...

"Not clean at all. Door to balcony only held closed by a chain, which was broken, so not secure either. Wouldn’t stay again."

"At time of booking did not know that bar and restaurant/coffee shop are no longer open Monday and Tuesday so had to eat out.Very disappointed because we specifically booked again thinking these were still operational."

"What a beautiful, intimate, quaint cottage and only 10 minutes from the vineyards. Helen was the most lovely host, very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. It was so peaceful and it felt like we were stepping into a cottage in the rolling hills of England. We loved our stay, the lovely breakfast each morning and definitely will be returning in the cooler months to sit around the beautiful log fire with a bottle of the Hunter’s finest."

"On arrival there was no visible reception, which was surprising given how busy the weekend was. It was very confusing to find our accommodation and we had to call multiple times before anyone answered. The room provided was not the one we booked, and the property looked very run-down. Perhaps new owners but they certainly weren’t very helpful.
