"There wasnt a pool even though the website it did have one. The room we were placed in was next to an exit door and they kept slamming the door all night. The "continetal" breakfast wasnt even continental there was only a few bagels french toast (cold) curdled milk yuckkk and a waffle maker no eggs no sausage no bacon juice and coffee where available ..but the only thing that made this bad was that damn door shutting and shaking the whole wall where our headboards were at. Horrible."
"Stayed in a Queen Suite to accommodate three travelers. The room was great. We had plenty of space and appreciated all the kitchen amenities including the coffee pot in the room. The bathroom had a walk-in shower which was also appreciated, as was the big countertop. I checked out the free breakfast which is only till 9am on weekdays. Wish that had been till at least 9:30am since we were on a personal trip, not for business. Breakfast was very basic although there was a fresh waffle machine. Since we were not hungry yet, we decided to skip eating in the hotel in favor of a local restaurant, but I think you could find something in their lineup to hold you over till lunch. But don't expect too much. The hotel was quiet and parking is free. We did not use any other amenity, so I can't help there. Overall 4 stars but I could be convinced of a slightly higher rating if I restrict myself to thinking of hotels in this tier. It was a reasonable cost for the location."
"The front desk staff was amazing! I spoke with three different members of the staff and everyone of them was beyond friendly! The hotel is located in the perfect location for shopping and easy in and out of the city. When I went to take a shower, I noticed there were green hair tie rubber bands underneath the sink. I picked them up with toilet paper and moved on. Then as I went to turn on the water to get in the shower the handle came off in my hand. I kind of laughed pushed it back on, and got in the shower. That's when I realized they're not only was less than one pump of shampoo, there was absolutely no conditioner. I could have gotten out, and called or text message the front desk and I'm sure they would have brought it up but I did not want to wait upwards of a half hour when I was already in the shower. Then came time for breakfast breakfast is served from 6:00 to 10:00. We get down there at 8:00. There was cereal, waffle fixings, egg patties, and slices of ham. That was it. Oh, and a bowl that had two cups of completely warmed you'll play yogurt and two bottles of warm milk in it. No ice in the bowl to try and chill it at all. I was feeling upset. I did not report any of this. The woman who came down as I was leaving as the attending person if there was more food and she said no this was it. Very very disappointed. The hotel was okay but I would not seek it out again. The only reason they got the rating they did was because of the front desk staff."
"A motel 6 wrapped in crown molding, the rooms are terrible for the price. It felt like place living on old memories and a cheap wallet for operational upkeep."
Holiday Inn Express Grand Rapids Airport North by IHG
6/10 Okay
"The staff at the front counter was very unhelpful and could not help with small accommodation, in relation to a disability or anything waking relation to being an IHG member and points"
"This beautiful boutique hotel was amazing. Super Lux feel with great staff and wonderful Post restaurant. I have no idea why hotels.com lists it as a 2 Star level hotel. It is premium!"
