DANGEROUS: Pills found by toddler; Abusive Management
I am writing this as a warning to all parents and travelers. During our stay in Room 344, my one-year-old son found and picked up loose pills off the carpet near the foot of the bed. These were in an open area that clearly hadn't been vacuumed. They were hidden from the view of an adult because they were at the foot of the bed, but easily accessible and seen by a one year old. We had to contact California Poison Control and the Huntington Beach Police (Report #P26007889) because of this gross negligence.
When I reported this to the staff, it got even worse. The front desk told me "nothing could be done" for 36 hours until a manager arrived. When I finally spoke to management on Monday, I was met with extreme hostility and verbal abuse. Instead of apologizing for a near-miss medical emergency involving a minor, the manager screamed at me and used profanity, telling me, "I don’t give a f--- who you call" and to "call the police, call corporate, call the presiden… I don’t give a f—k”.
This hotel is a massive safety risk. Not only is the housekeeping negligent enough to leave medication on the floor where a baby can find it, but the management is abusive and unprofessional. Do not stay here, especially if you have children.
