The spot the droves of tourists stop is at the Bixby Creek Bridge (that you can see in the distance). It is a beautiful spot no doubt. But drive 5 minutes further south to Hurricane Point, at a high point in the road, and get a better view of the coastline. And you don't have to battle all the tourons to find a parking spot. Bring a jacket though, the wind is racing at premium speeds at Hurricane Point.

A particularly scenic viewpoint on California Highway 1 just south of Bixby Bridge. Up ahead lays mile upon mile of dramatic coastline along one of the best driving roads in the world.
