"Stayed for one night, the room was clean but the place is right on the highway, The sulphur smell is real, room was too small , also there was a lot of smell from the kitchen coming up to the room and noise of the boiler was irritating. they turn it off at 10 pm but I really couldn’t tolerate it until shut it off, For the food, I had the veggie burger and it was very weird tasting and too oily , I felt nauseous."

"Check-in was unorthodox. One of the electrical outlets on the walls falling off of the wall. That made it so I couldn’t charge my cell phone overnight. Otherwise it was fine."

"The room is spacious and clean. The only issue is that the curtains are light and can’t block the midnight light."

"The hosts sent a message the night before with all the information needed to arrive to our destination easily! The unit was so unique, overlooking the water with the sheep / horse farm behind the property. The compact kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The blackout curtains let in some light but overall did a great job at blocking most! We would highly recommend anyone looking for a quiet stay near Hvammstangi."
