"Neat and attractive "

"We had very early appointments so we could not have any food from the breakfast, but the beds were large and very comfortable for queen sizes. Just two *BUT*s in the whole staying: 1st - the ICE MACHINE were VERY PHILFY DIRT to even think put in our drinks, as the washing machine as well. 2nd - I know we arrived with couple in advance than is on the rules of the hotel to check in, HOWEVER, the "fee" charged on us ($30 !!!) it was more than half of we paid for a night on the rooms. "This is our second visit to the Cornerstone Inn and we’ll come back again if we’re in the area. It’s a quaint, clean, well appointed hometown hotel. There are only 7 rooms, we’ve stayed in #3 both times. They offer a basic continental breakfast, nothing special. There is a coffee shop next door at street level. "So relaxing and beautiful surroundings! Our hosts were amazing and the cookies at check in were so delicious!! The town of Elsah is literally you taking a step back in time! Over 50% of the town is the original buildings from the mid 18 hundreds! The Bald Eagles were very active when we were there! Our hosts gave us a private tour of the town’s museum it was amazing! You can’t go wrong staying there and visiting "

"The hotel was built in 1929 and the bathrooms are very small, but updated. Location is great...about one block from the town square. Helpful and friendly staff"
