"Accommodation was average but the cleanliness let it down. The bedding was clean and fresh but we had old tea spashes on the unit and also someone's old toilet usage was still stick to the pan. "Wasn't the nicest thing to have to clean when I've paid to stay at a hotel" overall would I stay again. Yes I probably would as it may have been a one off... Some of the furniture and decor had seen better days too "

"The suite was beautiful, very clean and the decor was stunning. The owners were very helpful with parking information as our vehicle wouldn’t fit in the car parking space provided (travelling in campervan). Suite was less than 1 mins walk from the centre. "

"We have stayed here a few times in the past but not for about three years now. Sadly, we were very disappointed . The service used to be exceptional. I asked for a quiet room as we are very light sleepers - we were kept aware by the kitchen fan at the back of our room and the noise from the reception desk. We had lunch there and the prawn skewers were bland and tasteless. The breakfast buffet selection was poor, however the hot meals were very good. The service was dire, staff were stood around...

"The staff were attentive to our needs. We ate there on the second night of our stay. They food was lovely and hot when served. We did not wait for too long from ordering to getting our food. There were limitations on what we could have both on the food and drink side due to delivery issues. My and I were are aware that there was music being played when we went to bed, but I did not really interfere with us getting to sleep. Eat plugs were provided which my wife used. "Because it’s an old property there isn’t enough plug sockets in the room & trying to do my hair without a mirror by a socket & somewhere to sit was pretty impossible So if your not bothered with this it’s a fine place to stay Missed fresh fruit at breakfast "

"Great location for start of Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. Very clean and comfortable house. Lovely garden Room looking into the fields. Tricky car parking for two cars, but manageable. "

"Helpful and flexible with uncertainty over bookings, and the accommodation was at least satisfactory in general... but there was drastically inadequate parking for a full hostel, and we were not given all the necessary info about how to gain access to the buildings ! ( a helpful resident who happened to be up late saved us from standing outside in the cold and dark. Make sure the person on the desk not only gives over the FULL keypad entry number...but also HOW to access the key pad in order...

"Welcoming hostess, good bed and quiet sleep, tasty breakfast, clean bedding and towels. But... I was shocked by the condition of the place. Vey old fashioned and too shabby and worn. Carpets especially bad. Shower room stank awful and shower painted over with white paint. Sink in bedroom painted too. Only a skylight. Not seen anything this bad before, but bearable for me. Fortunately on my own as wife would not have entered this place."

"Great location, friendly owner and house keeper, well maintained with a cosy homely feel. The kitchen was well equiped for self catering and the home was kept warm for our autumnal stay. Towels were provided as were gowns and slippers which were a thoughtful addition for the use of the hot tub. A much appreciated basket of goodies greeted us on arrival. Would happily return."
