"The location of the property is glorious, spectacular views and if you do not wish to eat in the restaurant there are several others about a one mile walk away in Balloch or a short drive. Although our room was small, it was well decorated and had everything we needed. The only downside was having a room which overlooked the roadside. It was extremely noisy with guests and staff leaving/entering the building at all times of the night/early morning and the noise from the A82 from early hours was...

"My wife and I had a decent stay at the Royal Marine, though it was a bit of a mixed bag. The building looks magnificent, and although a little tired, has fantastic potential with some TLC. Our room was spotless, and we enjoyed paying extra for the sea view; watching the ferry terminal activity was actually quite relaxing. Staff seemed friendly although upon checkin reception didn’t seem to speak English. Made it hard to ask questions. Wouldn’t stay again unless I really needed to save money. "
