"Not sure how I managed to book this one. Unfortunately having to drag suitcases up two flights of stairs is far from enjoyable. Lovely lady host but extremely strict rules on arrivals and departures. The room whilst clean did not have a lot going for it sadly. Nothing to drink a beer or wine from apart from your tea/coffee cup. For the money compared to other stays on this trip the price was well up there. Parking is an issue but it very handy to walk to town. Choose wisely."

"I did not feel safe there. It is a few rooms above a very active bar. There is no secure entrance to the rooms. Just a chair on.the stairs Sign- For hotel guest only. When you get to the room, it is a key door and it does not lock automatically.. which we did not realize until the next morning. Expedia and I contacted the owner.. scheduled for three more nights and he gave me one night credit. I talked to aother tourist who were staying in room above another bar. She said that...

"My mother and I stayed at Jacobite House for 6 nights and had an excellent stay. Check-in was easy and quick, and our room (B1) was comfortable and spotless. When we needed anything, staff working on site were only too happy to help. Location can’t be beat; you are right in the heart of Inverness city centre, and you are within easy walking distance to all amenities. There is some noise from street level, but that quickly becomes white noise! We highly recommend staying here!"
