Excellent stay over.

The welcome was great. Room comfortable. We had supper in the restaurant which was outstanding. Breakfast was well worth it. Other customers raved about their burgers. Great stay over. Would recommend anytime.

Great place to stay in Middleburg

Celtis is a very nice place to stay in Middleburg. The town does not have much going for it. But Celtis is pleasant and comfortable. The bed is good. The room is a bit small but adequate. It has satellite TV. No fridge in room but one can get ice from the restaurant. The breakfast was good and filling. We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant. The Karoo lamb was delicious. Overall a great rest stop after driving all day.

Wir haben das Hotel nur zum Übernachten gebucht. Dafür war es perfekt. Das Zimmer war sehr klein, aber im Prinzip ok für den Preis. Das Abendessen war korrekt, die Bedienung etwas lustlos.

Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere!

Celtis was a really nice find in Middelburg. Middelburg is in the middle of the Karoo and a dusty small little town. One does not expect to find such a good facility in a small town. It is a good place for travellers to stay overnight. It is quiet and in a side street, away from traffic noise. However, the receptionist was most accommodating as our allocated room was exposed to some external noise (think it was the solar geyser and panels). She kindly moved us to back of the property, which was nice and quiet.

When we drove into Middelburg, we got extremely worried as we thought it would be impossible for such a poor looking town to be able to offer anything that would resemble a decent place to stay. Celtis was indeed an oasis in the desert. Restaurant was excellent and great value for money. Staff were fantastic, friendly and extremely accommodating.
