"What a gem this place is! We recently stayed here for one evening passing through on our Eastern Sierra road trip. If your goal is reveling in the beauty and peacefulness of the Sierras, then the Winnedumah is the perfect place to match that vibe. The rooms are small but so clean and comfortable (it’s a 100 year old hotel, don’t expect a big box hotel suite) and the lobby/common spaces are gorgeous. They have recently remodeled and the combination of modern HVAC, WiFi, keyless entry, and the most luxurious bedding and bath products coexist with original beams, hardwood floors, and antique arts and crafts windows. Enjoy the simple but delicious continental breakfast, relax on the front porch and watch the world of the 395 pass by, or wander though the tiny but beautifully preserved town and you will feel like you stepped back in time- but with excellent Wi-Fi!
The staff was so nice and let me borrow one of many books in the lobby highlighting the history and beauty of the Sierras. It was exactly what we needed that evening and this will definitely be our go to spot for future adventures!"
