"One-of-a-kind building to convert into a hotel! Outstanding breakfast, especially if you can score one of the limited outdoor tables. Terrific staff, always willing to help. The only caution -- and you will know if this applies -- is that there is a long, steep set of stairs (through a beautiful forest) to get to eh city. I would not recommend this hotel (because of the stairs) to my 88 year old mother, but would recommend it to every other family member. Other than the 200+ stairs UP, to get from the hotel to the city, this hotel is excellent."
"Perfect Location, right near the square and the Kathie wolfhart store. Breakfast was excellent. The lady at check in had never heard of the restaurant I asked about. It was literally out their back patio and down some steps. I would say she was fairly unhelpful. Hopefully she was new. No AC and it was in the 90s however there was a fan in the room. Parking is a bit sways in an old converted barn but it was great to check in and thrn twke the car to park. However nice stay."
"This is one of the most incredible hotels we have ever stayed in! It’s a family-run hotel, and it is absolutely beautiful! They made our experience from check-in to check-out so incredibly pleasant, and it’s a stay we won’t forget - we hope to go back and visit again!
Their breakfast, lunch, and dinner options were superb, and it was wonderful being able to simply walk down the stairs and enjoy such delicious foods! The owner and his daughter run the place together, and they are so kind and truly want their guests to have a great experience.
The room was spacious and pristine - exactly what we needed for our group. They even had a ridiculously comfortable cot waiting for our daughter to sleep on - she was so comfy that it was tough getting her to get out of bed, and this is the child who routinely wakes us up before sunup when we’re at home.
Go to Rothenburg. Stay here. It will be one of the best decisions you ever make!"
"Nice hotel. Good location. Air conditioning was amazing. The only complaint I had was the parking. The on-site parking was full or if there were spots available they were too small to park in."
"Nice boutique hotel very close to the gate going into the historic center. Only downside is it’s an older property so since it’s historic, there is no air conditioning and it was a hot night so it was very hard to sleep with the doors and the windows open and a lot of noise from the outside"
"The hotel is great and it has a lot of character. The room was very comfortable, clean and with all the amenities. The location is great and 3 minutes walk to the old town. The parking was convenient."
