"Everything about our stay at the hotel was excellent, such a great location ! Our room was so lovely and how fun to sleep in a beautiful cave . "Lovely property. You need a car if going to old Matera. Grocery store close by. Pretty grounds and great pool (although like most Italian pools, not heated.) we found easy parking lots near the historic area so it is ok. The photos are deceiving because the spa whirlpool tub is not included - you have to pay 100 euro per couple to use those amenities. That should be made clear in the listing or they shouldn't show the photos. " Cave" hotel room is fun but only a window at door and in bathroom....

"The staff here are so accommodating. They contacted me prior to the trip to help ensure we had airport transportation. We were easily able to communicate. The front desk staff were lovely and speak English. They also helped us call taxis during our stay. The room was very nice with our own private patio. There is daily room cleaning. The included breakfast buffet had a nice selection. The hotel is located in a central area in the Sassi. We were able to walk to most places."
