The hotel is charming, just like the name. We stayed for only one night. The room was much smaller than we expected but we didn’t mind because we just needed a place to sleep. The bathroom was very nice- great water pressure and temps for the shower. The breakfast was seemingly average/comparable to other complimentary breakfasts.

My staff at the Charm Hotel was peaceful and good balue for money. I love all the chaps working there, polite, respectful, and diligent. Always smiling carrying out their duties. And also very handsome guys. Jokthan ,manager, very understanding.

Brilliant stay! Awesome service and great comfort.

It was amazing! Brilliant service, super clean and comfortable and greatly located. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very varied and full of options. The hotel is very well located in the middle of the trading Istanbul streets that allows you to live their reality to the fullest. Felt safe and all the local shops and food places offer great prices and delicious stuff. Very near (like 2 min walk) to the Aksaray tram station that is four stops away from Sultanahmet that is where the Ayasofia is. You can walk also and is 20 min away and through all the different bazaars. Very recommended.

The Hotel itself is great and we loved the room and the service. Our room was facing out towards the street above the reception and therefore our biggest issue was noise. I would ask if possible for a room facing out in a different direction. Nothing the hotel can really do about this, but it’s something to be mindful of! Would recommend nevertheless.

To sum it up in a few words as I don’t have enough characters to write a whole review, it is an unmaintained, shoddy, unpleasant hotel situated in an extremely busy, loud and dirty street and I was very disappointed and immediately regretted booking this hotel. I definitely would NOT book again or recommend to family/friends. There are far better hotels in many other areas.

Excellent hotel

I have stayed two weeks. Room was spacious and clean. Staffs were friendly and helpful specially at reception. The location of the hotel is great. There are many shops and restaurant and money changer around the hotel. It is close to metro station yenikapi which you can change the metro line ( marmaray express line) which connect west of istanbul to the east. 5 minutes walk to aksaray bazar. 20 minutes walk to sultanahmet mosque. 15 minutes to kumkapi streets. Breakfast was good with varaties of good for all nations. But everyday is same. There is a feriboat station near to hotel. I would definitely stay again.

Unfortunately l didn’t enjoy my stay here. The first night, the hot water was not working. They fixed it in the morning. But then, the air conditioner was not working. Internet connection was bad. I wasn’t even able to talk to my family using WhatsApp. Breakfast was ok but not great. I think the quality of certain food items need improvement. Overall the staff are nice and they try to help. But they couldn’t easily solve my problems. The area is not great. But it’s close to Sultanahmet and more affordable than the hotels in that area. The hotel is actually nice. The furniture is good, the bathrooms are good. The breakfast is decent. But some basic things need to be better. One last thing that disturbed me was that the corridors smell like cigarettes. When l asked about it, they said it was coming from outside but it was always smelling like that and l didn’t enjoy it. In brief, it is a good hotel that needs to improve its facilities and service quality.

Er komt veel herrie vanaf buiten van een aggregator. Ook met raam dicht irritant. Ik wilde een andere kamer en omdat ik zo aandring deden ze ‘t, maar ze vonden mijn klacht gezeur zag ik aan de gezichten, ook bedrijfsleider. Andere kamer was iets beter. Elke dag kamer schoonmaken. Nette kamer. Ontbijt gemiddeld goed, niet heel uitgebreid, zelf pakken. Hotel in klein straatje tussen de winkels en andere hotels. 5 minuten lopen van metro vandaan. Bedrijfsleider en een receptionist erg onverschillig en druk met mobiel, rest personeel vriendelijk. Uitzicht vanaf hotelkamer is een rotzooi van de achterkanten van meerdere hotels/ flats. Verpauperd, ligt veel rotzooi. Dat is schrikken. Vanuit elke kamer dit uitzicht.

Wir waren für 9 Nächte in diesem Hotel. Die Lage war sehr zentral, sodass die Einkaufsstraßen sowohl die Verkehrsmittel zu Fuß gut zu erreichen war. Erwähnenswert war natürlich auch das Frühstück, was sehr vielfältig und köstlich war. Zu der Hygiene der Zimmer kann ich auch nur positives beitragen, weil die Zimmer sehr sauber waren und die Handtücher täglich gewechselt wurden. Für einen kleinen Preis kann man auch die eine oder andere Kleidung waschen und bügeln lassen. Das Personal als auch der Direktor waren sehr zuvorkommend. Im Großen und Ganzen waren wir zufrieden mit dem Hotel und können es weiterempfehlen. 😊

VORSICHT vor diesem Hotel. Dieses Hotel stiehlt Sachen aus dem Zimmer. Während unseren Aufenthalts wurde ein Nachtkästchen aus dem Zimmer geräumt ohne zum schauen, ob sich in der Lade Gegenstände befinden, so wurde unser Handykabel gestohlen. Das Hotel hat es erst nach unser Abreise gefunden, da sie bei unserem Aufenthalt nicht wussten, wo sich die Nachtkästchen befinden. Jetzt weigert sich das Hotel das Kabel uns heim zu schicken. Also Vorsicht vor diesem Hotel, beim nächsten mal ist sicher der Kasten oder Koffer auch weg. Lieber ein anderes Hotel in Istanbul buchen, gibt es genug.
