"The receptionist was extremely rude, which made us feel that we had made a mistake booking this place as soon as we arrived. We were also required to wait four hours to check in. The hotel offered a scavenger hunt game for the kids. My daughter spent a significant amount of time completing all the tasks so she could receive the prize. "Charging $20 to check in 30 minutes early is why I won’t use this company again. Corporate greed! What happened to old fashioned common sense. The room is available. I told the lady at the counter we just want to drop our bags off and we won’t be back until midnight. We were the only people in the whole complex. She said it was policy. Best Western lost a customer for life!!"

"The rooms were very clean and staff continually dried the lobby floor allsay and night so nobody woukd trip from the wetness everyone was bringing in from the pool and beach. Staff welcomed us each time we entered the hotel and wished us fun on the beach when they noticed we were headed that way. "I stay here every time I go to whitecap beach and it’s always a great stay! Staff is always pleasant, abr complimentary breakfast is great. The only down side is they had no clean towels to spare but it’s not a huge deal. I highly recommend it here."

"Great location. Wonderful staff. Needs a bit of updating but they will get there! Great place for families with older kids. We could let teens kids go to beach and we could still them. pool overlooking the beach. All the staff we meet were very nice and helpful. This was our first time there but we will come back"

"The room was decently cleaned. The drawer handles were sticky and there was sticky stuff in the bathroom floor. Staff was very friendly, kind and helpful. WiFi was not too bad a tad slow but worked fine for what we needed it for. The shower paint was peeling and grout was lifting. You can tell there was a lot of patch jobs done on this property. "

"I am deeply disappointed in my recent stay. The level of distress I experienced is detailed in a letter provided to the staff, outlining a "living nightmare" scenario that no guest should endure. The Hyatt brand usually stands for quality, but this location failed on every front. I expect a formal follow-up regarding the grievances previously cited."

"Pool and hot tub weren’t available. Towels weren’t in our hotel room. and there were a couple of bug cockroaches in my hotel room. Not satisfied, will never recommend this place or return."
