"The rooms was clean except for the couch it was a little dirty when we let it out to the bed the sheets were very dirty. The telephone in the room did not work."

Amelia Hotel at the Beach

"The hotel is located close to the beach which we liked. The hotel itself could use some updating. The sliding closet door in our room was so rusted and off track that it was very difficult to open. Also, the handle in the shower was turned so tight that it was almost impossible to open and close it. The curtains did not close all the way so we could see the street light outside our third story room all night. Having to pay for parking was also an unexpected expense. Overall, we did not feel the cost of the stay was appropriate for the condition of the room/hotel."

Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach/Oceanfront

"We choose this hotel because of it's location to UNF but we were disapointed with the cleanliness of the hotel. There was a dirty diaper by the garbage pail for 2 days and numerous staff walked by it and never disposed of it. The breakfast was not bad, there were many food options (waffles, eggs, sausage and cereal, etc) but seating area was tight and crowded. Our room was nice because it had a sliding door that opened to the beach and it was easy to get in and out especially with our dog. The little patio once you walk out the sliding door was just not cleaned enough to sit outside comfortably. I have to say the location was great we walked to restaurants for dinner but they definitely need to do something about the cleanliness of this hotel."

"I loved the fact that we are right on the beach, that was very important to me. Room was clean but small. Also staff do not enter rooms to clean each day but will drop off things you need such as towels etc. I liked being able to rent beach umbrella and chairs as well and price is high but worth it. would stay here again."
