"Our reservation for 6 nights was made and entirely paid for 2 months in advance. We went off the description and photos that were posted and opted for the king bed ocean front view with balcony. Upon arrival we were put in a room on the 2nd floor where there was a huge palm tree literally in front of the balcony blocking two thirds of the ocean view. The only thing visible was the pool, sand dunes and side water view way out in the ocean.
We asked if we could be moved to a higher floor but was told the hotel was booked up.
Upon inspection of the room. It was very tiny with only a small sleeper couch that was equivalent of sitting on a metal park bench. A cheap rolling office desk chair, small microwave and smaller dorm fridge. Both of these were literally sitting on the floor under the desk. The fridge did not cool enough to keep the few items we needed to put in there and we ended up having to throw out spoiled milk and yogurt. The king bed mattress was the equivalent of sleeping on a concrete floor and as much as we tried to endure it, our backs and bodies could not take the abuse, we finally ended up checking out early.
Lunch one day from the onsite restaurant consisted of 2 grilled chicken sandwiches, fries and soda and came to $44.00. The sandwiches were like cold rubber. We were able to speak with the customer service manager who apologized and put in for a reimbursement of our last nights rate of $209.10 plus tax and $50 for food but have not gotten any response. "
