The electronics’ plugs next to the bed were caked in dust, and when I grabbed the phone to wipe it so i can call the front desk, I noticed it was sticky and dusty as well. Hairs in the shower. "The Royal Sonesta Downton Portland is located near the city’s main attractions and restaurants. Good breakfast, nice bar and restaurant —open only a few days a week; very good service and generally a pleasant atmosphere. The lobby has a piano, it is beautifully decorated and is a welcoming and inviting spot. Recommended for business or pleasure."

"The Hoxton is alright. It's a hipster hotel trying to hard to be a hipster hotel. They gave us two White Claws at checkin. That was a first. Our room was small. Super small. Like fighting NYC's tiny rooms for smallest space still rentable. Honestly nothing really bad to say. Nothing super good either. Other than you could actually get the room very dark at night. Bonus points for that. The mini fridge didn't work. The light switches were bananas. We finally got it sorted on our way out the door....
