I was waiting for a response from them, but am yet to recieve.
We booked Forest Park for our annual ski trip this year. We originally intended to stay for two nights, but due to the three-night minimum, we booked three nights and adjusted our plans accordingly.
At the time of booking, there was no indication of any ongoing or upcoming renovations. We did not receive any communication about construction until Friday, December 26 — just two days before our arrival.
When we arrived, we were placed in the older building (Room 307). We are travelling with another family, both with children, and access to the pool and hot tub was a major factor in choosing this accommodation.
Unfortunately, when we attempted to use the neighboring pool and hot tub, it was extremely overcrowded and unusable for our group, eliminating a key amenity we were expecting to enjoy.
To add to this, we were woken up as early as 7:00 am, by loud construction noise directly outside our window. The construction continued throughout the day and has significantly impacted our stay.
At nearly $800 for three nights, we feel we should have been informed well in advance about the renovations, or at the very least not placed directly beside active construction. Seems like an awful lot of money for very lacking accommodations.
