"Room was spotlessly clean. Excellent interior and everything was very clean. The design of the bathroom lighting was not good. You really can't get a good look at yourself in the mirror because the lighting is not pronounced for your facial features and the placement of the lighting is not really that good. If they want a review about everything, well this is the little stuff that I'd like to mention. The TV remotes should be checked because the one was inop and I could tell the batteries were shot because it looked like they leaked from the white residue I noticed around the access panel to change batteries, so I just gave it to the front desk. Also, the ice machine was inop on the ninth floor and I really wanted some ice but didn't feel like going to another floor. And last, when the air conditioner kicked on, the compressor fan wailed like a sick squirrel. I notified maintenance and they said they have to replace the entire unit, but I said I'll leave it because it still works and I did actually get used to the noise. However, I really can't believe it just started when I got my room, so basically maybe the staff should listen or look for things out of the ordinary so those rooms can be closed out until fixed. Finally the people were kind, the cleaning staff were super-friendly and the attached restaurant was fantastic and not to overpriced, especially when you consider it's the New York area. I will stay there again as long as I can get a good rate again!"

"Good stay close to Metlife. Staff were helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The building is dated but works well for a no-frills stay. The river view was a bonus and offered a serene moment amongst the bustle of the area. Food options are just across the street."
