Guest house Plitvice Villa Verde

"What a treat to be able to stay at this wonderful guest house. Myself and my husband stayed for 2 nights, along with friends and their grown-up children (a group of 6 with 4 rooms in total). We had a standard room which was clean, very spacious with a super comfortable bed, and had everything you need including hair dryer, tea/coffee facilities, small fridge and an amazing powerful shower with plenty of hot water. The location was perfect for Plitvice National Park, only 4 (Ent2) or 7mins (Ent1) drive away. The setting of the guest house is beautiful with gardens to relax in. It is set back from the road making it very peaceful, but also giving easy access. The hosts were so welcoming, friendly & helpful. They brought cherries and homemade schnapps to enjoy while we played cards in the garden, they shared their knowledge of the National park and recommended the walking routes, and booked a table for us at the local restaurant. We all highly recommend including the breakfast. It was a feast!! Continental meats & cheeses, bread, fruit, yogurt, muesli, pastries, crepes with Nutella and cooked eggs (different ways depending on the day), as well as local honey & jams. You will not be disappointed! Also highly recommend Bistro Antonio for your evening meal. A few minutes walk down the road and a huge selection of pizza, pasta and grilled meats. Make sure to book a table as it was extremely busy. Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable, we will be back!"

"We picked this location based on many recommendations on different forums. It still surpassed our expectations. The setting is absolutely lovely, the owner was so sweet and helped map out our path through the National park. We were able to stay in the reception area and watch the England-Croatia world cup game with some other guests and had a lovely time. Breakfast was very nice and fresh for a reasonable price. We were sad to leave after such a short stay.... They also have an adorable little dog Bella that we enjoyed meeting."

"Really convenient for visiting Plitivice Park. Entrance 2 is just below the hotel. We paid for day passes for the park and they were able to extend them for the length of our stay, which was a nice bonus. The staff was really accommodating and helpful. They let us store our bags before/after check in and check out so that we could explore. They also gave us a free shuttle ride to the bus stop. Food options are so-so but you’re not there for the food. Our room was small and dated, but I think there are nicer, more recently updated options."
