This place is ideal for families with children. The pool is excellent for all ages, especially kids, and the overall atmosphere is very welcoming. The buffet breakfast was good, and the children absolutely loved the chocolate hour — adults did too. Unlike The Trans Motel, we had no issues at all checking in at Mövenpick Motel.

Really enjoyed our stay. Perfect for our 5 year old who practically lived in the pool. Staff were excellent. Location was great, not too far from the airport, so quick transfer after landing, and not a far drive for shopping in Kuta and Seminyak.

Fantastic stay for families - well set up, attentive staff, incredible buffet breakfast and facilities for kids with kids club, pools and slides. Resort prices for food but all delicious and plenty of happy hour/specials to take advantage of. Chocolate hour was an insane full buffet with cakes, chocolate fountain, popcorn, fruit, candy floss and more. Our daughter had her birthday while we were here and the staff set up the most amazing room decoration and cake for her, all complimentary. Samasta - next door has a few shops and eateries, Gaya ice cream is soooo good and we had our nails done for a good price (250k for gels). There is a free/donation Barong dance twice each evening worth watching and they got our kids up to dance with them. Nearby - There is a walkway to get to the beach and although the sunset is nice, the beach itself is full of rubbish and dogs and we cut our feet even with sandals. Very local outside of the hotel and too busy to take kids walking on the roads but easy to fetch a car. Overall Movenpick is a great place to stay if you plan on hanging out at a resort for a few days and just perfect for families with kids.

There are better options for the price

Room 1556 was damaged in several areas; broken flooring, damaged bathroom fan, multiple dated/chipped pieces around the room. Staff were friendly, pool was nice with lots of space, breakfast options were very bland especially the Indonesian foods. Maybe even toned down flavour for tourists? Very odd. Won't be returning.
