This is a lovely setting and the hospitality is warm and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable - the only issues we had were that one of the electrical outlets was dead and the ceiling fan wasn’t operational, so had to swap out electrical charging station for portable fan to sleep. But VERY minor issues given the very comfortable rooms and baths, delicious food, and obvious desire on everyone’s part to make us feel at home. Stevie and Espíe were especially delightful and accommodating.

Peaceful and Restful

I was returning from a very tough Safari in Uganda and needed a place to rest up. Blue Mango was perfect for that much needed rest. When you stay at Blue Mango you are part of the family. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful.

Definitely to recommend

I had a short but very nice stay at the Blue Mango Lodge. Came tired from a long trip and was picked up at the Airport to a wonderfully well kept accomodation with a very harmonious interior and exterior design.The food was good and I enjoyed every minute of it. Next time I will try one of their spa treatments.

I have stayed at this property at least 4 times now and have made it where I will stay when needing to overnight in Johannesburg, South Africa. The room is always clean and equipped with everything I need. Stevie always picks me up at the airport and returns me the next morning as part of the package. Breakfast is pretty much cooked to order and is included. I generally also have dinner and have not been disappointed in taste or quantity. The WiFi enables me to Skype my wife and talk to the kids. There is no swimming pool or sauna that I'm aware of but then I have not asked or sought it out because I generally just want to crash until morning. Suggest you give them a try! RevC

We recently spent two nights here at the beginning of out SA vacation. We really enjoyed our time here. The hospitality of all the staff was outstanding and the food was top notch! If you are looking for something a little different than a standard chain hotel, I highly encourage you to check it out. The Blue Mango is a great place to start or end your South Africa trip due to the proximity to the airport and the staff's willingness to help you get to and from OR Tambo. Thanks again for making us feel like part of the family!

Great location nice and close to the airport. Very helpful owner who went out of his way to accommodate us after a long flight from the US. Good place near the wirport

Blue Mango is a nice place, BUT they are having problems with a new booking system. I was double booked and had to stay 100 yards away in a much inferior property.

Very nice B&B and excellent food.

Very nice hotel set in charming gardens in a peaceful area. Owner and staff very nice and helpful. A great place to stay near the airport. A very slight criticism of the bathrooms which are nicely presented but lack a few minor fundamentals like a place to put toiletries when using the sink, water glasses, and only one bedside table.

The room was clean, but the overhead fan was not working. There was only 1 towel in the bathroom and although we asked for another 1 we did not get it. There was no ice to have with our drinks, however Stevie did go to the shops to get some, but it took time. The staff were helpful and pleasant. DSTV did not work and we could only access a kiddie channel.

Had a nice stay there. Owner was very pleasant, picked me up at the airport on time, even though my flight was delayed by 3 hours. Very good service.

for a wedding location, here it is. fantastic

from the pick up at the airport to the return brilliant personal service from the owners. Great comfortable room, superb food ( steak a speciality) incredible personal attention from a gorgeous 6 yr old "madam" the delightful daughter, way too old for her age. I have another stay booked for next year and now would not consider another in that area

Sehr charmantes Guesthouse

Sehr charmantes Guesthouse, alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch die Küche zum Lunch oder Dinner sind zu empfehlen wenn man nicht mehr fortfahren möchte. Trotz Flughafennähe relativ ruhig, Internetverbindung war stabil.

Wonderful Experience

Fantastic, we were just looking for a one night stopover before catching a flight from Johannesburg airport. The big name hotels around the airport were all booked up, but luckily we found this little gem, only 15 mins from the airport which I cannot recommend too highly. It was a little tricky to find as the street numbering is a bit weird, but we were given clear directions by Stevie the owner of the place and the location shown on the GPS was correct. Great atmosphere, lovely apartments, wonderful gardens around the apartments and a very tasty food. Next time I am in Johannesburg I will definitely use this place

Relaxing stopover.

Close to airport, 10/15 min in hotel shuttle car with excellent driver. Set in very safe, quiet and peaceful surroundings, clean, comfy accomodation and an amazing garden. Hosts were welcoming,informative and very relaxed. Food was excellent. Would definitely stay again if just to eat the food and chat with our hosts.
