"The building and grounds here are absolutely beautiful. It's clearly been a wonderful place to stay at some point. Having said that, our trip was generally very disappointing. We arrived in the evening, and there were no staff at all to be seen. There was a bar open, with music playing, and no staff. A sign noted to call a mobile number for help. The first number rang out repeatedly. On a second call, a person answered and seemed confused about whether any staff remained at the hotel. Eventually...

"The property was on the banks of a river with lots of green space and walks for the dog. There was plenty of parking and nothing seemed to be cramped."

"Everything about this experience was so unique and warm. It made our stay in Stonehaven so memorable! Everything is so clean. The room even came with a fan which my husband relies on at home. The kitchen is well equipped to cook your food if needed and the option to use the clothes washer was a huge bonus. Breakfast options were plenty and the coffee machine was exactly what I needed!"

"This is a beautiful house close to the harbor. We had a triple room with bathroom. Good size room, I wish my room in Edinburgh looked like this. The whole property is spotless and up to date. The hosts are very nice and helpful and serve a good breakfast with lots of options. It's worth spending more time and relax in the chill Stonehaven. They have on site parking."

"The advertising was very misleading. Expected a B&B with breakfast. When we arrived there was a note on a desk explaining the 2 plastic wrapped croissants and open items in the fridge were the breakfast. Room had a musty smell, bed and pillows are in need of replacement."

"A great place to stay near Stonehaven- only one of the two bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, the other is served by a bathroom across the hall- Best to check first if an issue"

"The room was clean enough but it is an Old Building . The meals were great and very enjjoyble. but the staff were absolutely SUPERB. It is a family owned and run Hotel and you could not wish for better attention or Help.No it is not 5 star but the Staff make up for the Minor faults. thank you all for a Very Pleasant stay. "This is a beautiful wee cottage did not disappoint in any sense. My sat nav was not the best and had problems as it just takes you to an area as opposed to the actual house. Would definitely go back for longer as there are so many areas to sit outside "
