I would not stay here again. While the hotel advertises itself as the oldest hotel in Juneau, its age really shows, and the property is in serious need of refurbishment and updating. the headboards and phone had a thick layer of dust!
One of the biggest issues was the noise. The bar downstairs played extremely loud music until 1:00 a.m. every night, and even noise-canceling headphones did not block it out. Getting a good night’s sleep was nearly impossible.
There is also no elevator, so guests staying on the second or third floors must carry heavy luggage up multiple flights of stairs. The room heating was provided by a small plug-in radiant heater, and the “air conditioning” was simply a fan.
In addition, the front desk was often unattended, making check-in and getting assistance inconvenient. There is no airport shuttle service available, so we had to arrange and pay for a taxi ourselves.
Overall, the listing did not accurately match our expectations, and I believe there are much better hotel options available in Juneau.
