"Had a great stay atvyhe Hurtwood. Found it by chance. Great village with plenty of walking direct in to the Surrey Hills as directed by the lovely lady who checked us in. Room very comfortable with fresh milk provided. We found the car park easy for a big car, but would not be so easy in season I think. Dinner in the bar was excellent and good portions. Breakfast cooked to order also great. Will go again. Thank you."

"This was by far one of the best inn rooms I have slept in for years. The bed was big and comfortable with a great mattress topper, two big wide windows for air. There was both a bath and a shower and both were clean. Tv and great coffee machine with plenty of milk and sugar with milk alternatives if needed. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to help with any request. The food was lovely in both dinner and the following lunch. The bar/restaurant has loads of windows and tables in...

"I am a repeat customer at The Mitre. The hotel has a wonderful "old-world" charm to it, but they’ve balanced it perfectly with the modern amenities you actually need. "I don’t know why I always drove to Gatwick in the middle of the night when I could have stayed in Hampton. North Terminal, right next to the easyJet baggage drop-off. Beautiful, modern room. Comfy bed. Nice buffet breakfast. First time, but definitely not the last."
