"Bait and switch. Pics on booking sites do not match actual rooms. Serious disrepair: -completely different decor -furniture broken -toilet was not secured, rocked when sat on -tiny vintage sink outside toilet/shower room (cool for a collector, unacceptable for a motel) -hadn’t been painted in god knows how long -ceiling light fixture started strobing when turned off (we have video) -loud music from hotel residents -front desk polite but clearly checked out Gateway to a national park should do better for the price. "

"Room was too small to bring in luggage. Shelving in rooms were loose and we couldn't utilize them. Getting them to give you passkey to enter room was a pain and the doorknob was wouldn't operate properly. Restroom were clean at least. "

"The property was good no kitchen. Restaurant there . Staff was friendly. Too far far Big Bend park 35 miles. "

"I waited to write my rating to see if my opinion mellowed; it didn't. First, there is NO STAFF. They send you a code to log into the cryptic door that's next door to the bar downstairs, then another code to unlock the room. The worst part; the walls are paper thin. We could hear the people next door and ended up knocking on the wall as a "hint" to quiet down. The man then knocked on our door and said that he just wanted to apologize for the noise. When I said "okay" he responded with "What the f***." No idea what that was all about. I closed the door and he knocked again, trying to apologize; totally bizarre. The reservation did say that earplugs are provided but they only gave us one pair, which I used but could still hear noise from the street. The room was also right above the restaurant/bar and the live musicians could be clearly heard. Luckily, we were heading downstairs for dinner, and the performers ended before we went back upstairs. As for Amenities, I rated it good since the restaurant had excellent food and drinks but I don't even know if the two are owned by the same person/company. The bedroom decor was nice and bedding was pretty. The floor was filthy, looked like it was never cleaned. There were directions for logging onto the internet but it did not work at all. First of all, the name of the service didn't even show up as a choice. We tried the passwords on a few other sites but nothing worked, so I could not use my laptop. No staff to fix it. "
