Cabin Rentals in Calloway County

"I absolutely love to stay here, the views are spectacular and the lobby of the lodge is gorgeous. There are a few things that need some work. The rooms need some updating--every room should have a fridge without paying an extra $30 a night. There are so many steps! My mom has trouble with these and even though I requested to be on the upper level, we didn't get one. The food in the lodge is just so-so. Having said all of that, you cannot beat the views! The staff are wonderful and the area is beautiful. We will stay here again."

"Clever and lovely cabin. The cabins are set just off a parking lot, but mine (The Schoolhouse) was really nice, seeming pretty new, good amenities like the big square showerhead. I liked the firm bed. I liked the Kuerig; just wanted decaf pods. Unusual place but worth it."

"The blanket on the made bed had something crusty all over it. There was a large clump of hair on the floor by the sink. The non smoking room smelled like smoke. The vent in the bathroom wasn't secured to the wall. Part of the ceiling above the shower was ready to crumble. No phone, iron or ironing board, as advertised. Smoke detector not secured. Holes in the curtains. Beds were hard as boards. No stopper in the sink, so don't drop anything! Not a good experience, at all. Extremely disappointed. Pictures on Hotels.com site were not even close to there real thing!"

"The exterior is beautifully maintained. The interior...holy cow. I'm very surprised Expedia has this property evaluated at a 4.8. I'd give it about a 2.8. I wore my flip flops in the shower since the shower pan was so worn and discolored. Towels were threadbare. The dresser had a loose piece of granite on top, the bed was horrible. Cheap chairs and tables. And noisy as heck! The only great thing was the ice machine. "

"It would be good for the person doing the check in to let the guest know the policy on room cleaning and gathering of supplies. The system in place is ok just needs to be made known. The room doors are quite noisy when being closed. One suggestion is to add weather stripping of similar material to each door frame."
