"My daughter and I recently stayed at Irish Cottage Inn & Suites and had a great experience. The location was convenient, and although we had to cross a fairly busy road, we were able to walk to downtown Galena easily. We also used the shuttle service once, which was a wonderful perk and made getting around even easier.
The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with great shower water pressure and a small refrigerator that came in handy during our stay. I also appreciated being able to grab a cup of coffee on our way out each morning, though I would have preferred it a little stronger.
One unexpected highlight was the restaurant and pub on site. After spending the day exploring Galena, it was so nice to come back, relax, and enjoy the live music. The band was great, the atmosphere was lively, and the place was absolutely hopping. It added a lot to the overall experience and gave us something fun to do without having to go back out.
The only downside was that I couldn’t seem to keep the air conditioning running consistently. It may have been user error, but it was a bit frustrating at times.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose Irish Cottage Inn & Suites again on a future visit to Galena."
