"We go to this property about twice a month and usually have no issues, but this night the hotel was fully booked and we spent about $50 more than we are use to.
Tthe room we were given had an A/C unit that was broken. It was only blowing out of 2/3 of the capacity as fans inside the machine were broken and the temp wouldn’t go below 72 (on a humid night) when it normally can get to 60 in those rooms. Around 7 pm we contacted the front desk about leaving and getting a refund and they said for us to wait as they were going to send someone out. About 2 hrs later they had someone there and they replaced the entire unit and immediately the room cooled down. This was about 10:30 pm by the time the repair men left. 10:30 pm. $170 for a night where I didn’t get to relax until 10:30 pm.
Called the manager the next business day about getting a free night due to the incident and they said “we stayed, so we can’t give you anything.” The issue I have is my wife and I attempted to get a refund and leave earlier in the night and they told us they couldn’t do that yet the manager said that because we stayed, they can’t honor a free night due to the issue we had. This is not ok. They lost a loyal customer from this. Don’t treat your customers like this."
