"We stayed in a dune front room and it was just a short walk over the dunes, to the beach. Clean and comfortable. Outdoor shower to rinse off the sand. Friendly staff and a nice breakfast buffet. We plan to come back here again someday. A lot of bang for your buck!"

"Absolutely love it. This was our second time staying at the Swell and we were impressed with how they seem to be constantly improving the property for their guests. Love the fact that they offer to switch out the towels every day and you can even have them do a quick room refresh (beds and bathroom, sweeping...) every day if you wish. That is the kind of thing you usually only find in places that cost a lot more money."

"This room was clean and well-maintained. The people were very friendly. Convenient to downtown Manteo and about 10-15 from Jennette’s Pier at Nags Head. Only negative is there’s just one parking space per room, but for most people that is probably just fine. A cute and comfortable place to stay. Would go back and would recommend. "

"Room was not fancy, but comfortable. Friendly staff. AC worked well and silently. Everything was clean. No maid service, but that didn’t really bother us. Kitchen was adequately equipped for 2 people. If you’re bothered by morning light, bring eyeshades because the shades and curtains in the room don’t block light very well. When we were there (off season), it was very quiet, but it’s on a marina with a lot of fishing boats, so in high season there might be some noise from those in the early...
