Unique! You are right above the waves crashing all day long! Then miles of open beachfront to walk, look for shells, just enjoy. Jamie at the front desk is warm and friendly and so determined to make sure you have an awesome experience. The property has the gorgeous weathered wood so typically Outer Banks.

The property was beautiful and staff was great. The room was very nice and view of the ocean to die for. The parking was a real issue for us, we got stuck both times we pulled in and out of the property. Hopefully the property owners will invest in something to clear the sand that blows in.

The location is good, easy access to the beach and restaurants. The place is rundown, needs upgrades, bed covers were stained, very limited kitchenware. This time I stayed on the pool side and did not like it but previously I stayed oceanside and the those rooms are way nicer and more equipped. Also you cant beat the view so its worth to spend extra for oceanside rooms. I'd give oceanside rooms are 4-5 stars, pool side 2-3 stars.

Old Cape Hatteras

Sand everywhere, but not really the fault of the hotel.. It is in a sand dune. Parking limited. Room not fresh, decorative pillows on bed smelly. One sink in bathroom, no storage except corner shelf on back wall. Shower curtain dirty, faucet dripping, moldy caulking. No network TV, Roku streaming only. Nice to set on porch and watch the waves. Great access to wide open beach with many shells.

The room was very spacious and clean. It felt like staying in a mini two bedroom apartment. The only “issue” was the front door was hard to open/shut so it was loud trying to get in and out. Other than that no complaints. The pool area was nice. The price was budget friendly, I definitely recommend this motel.

Hotel si under construction and it looks like they are remodeling everything. The rooms on the water are not rentable at this time due to remodel. There was maybe one that was finished. I think they are working hard to bring the property back to former glory but they have a way to go. Rooms were clean but very basic bedrooms. The upper decks need repair. Staff were very nice and helpful.

We reserved an oceanfront room. Got there no oceanfront rooms available. Downgraded to a room across the street. Parking lot view. 4 days watching a septic field being installed. Had to drive 2 miles to find a beach. There oceanfront won't be available for weeks because of sand erosion project by the Govt. They are still advertising oceanfront rooms on your website. Thank you for letting me vent.
