"We got off on a rocky start with this stay. It used to be a very nice place. It needs modernizing. Housekeeping is only done at request. A fact that I wished was relayed to me by some verbal means because it was not revealed in reservations process, or maybe I just missed reading that. I had to borrow a vacuum cleaner for our room because of toe/finger nails littering the carpet. The breakfast is OK, better on some days. Some of the front desk personnel seem to be overwhelmed and impersonal probably because of the key card situation, (we had to have our keys rekeyed more than 10 times in a three day stay). and having to supply many guests with towels/linens because of the housekeeping situation. Manager Rick is very conscionable and personable person who certainly has his hands full with todays younger workers. Overall I would stay there again and it would probably be a better stay for me after learning the ropes of staying there."

Drury Inn & Suites Amarillo

"Amazing stay on the plaza. So much of the city is in walking distance, it's wonderful. And the Drurys kickback meal at night plus the 3 free drinks is a terrific perk. Staff were great, the Valet guys were the best! Good breakfast, but not amazing. Hotel layout is great, lots of places to relax from many patio to pool and spa and bar near the Pool. There is a parking fee, but worth it since everything s close. Wonderful stay!"

"Our stay was great. The room was clean. Breakfast was good. The location was within walking distance of restaurants. The front desk hostess, Melissa, exhibited extreme professionalism under duress by responding to the needs of the guests in the dining area and at the front desk. All the while maintaining a positive caring attitude. Definitely a person who needs a promotion."
