"A beautiful, historic inn on the campus of Berea College. The room was spacious, and decorated with artwork and craftsmanship of the college students. Incredible value. I will definitely book again the next time I pass through. "

"It was amazing to be able.to basically walk out from the hotel and hike. I was surprised there was no air conditioning and it was hot at least 80°. The bar was closed on Friday & Saturday night. There was a note posted on the door it didnt say why just closed. The hotel is old and showing considerable wear. Our room had a huge stain in the carpet. The fan in the bathroom was extremely loud and rattled you could not use it. The water was hard to adjust in the shower and had very low water pressure. It was very nice to have a private balcony. The staff was very nice. All that being said it is a beautiful area and the hiking is wonderful. The hotel was ok just manage your expectations. Would definitely return to the area."

"I wish that I could give them a better review because the family that owns it was very friendly. However, this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The cigarette smell was so strong in the hallways and in the room we instantly had a headache and couldn’t breathe. All of our clothes smelled like cigarette smoke. I had to ask several times if there was another room available finally they said that there was however the TV didn’t work and at that point it was 10 PM and I said that was fine. We got into the new room which was on the first floor and didn’t smell like cigarettes, but the sink had 3 inches of standing water filled with cigarette butts in it. The shower was ice cold, and the toilet paper dispenser was broken and had no toilet paper. I was able to find a roll elsewhere, but there was also no towels. They ended up bringing us new towels that were just purchased from the store with the tags on them an hour later. The breakfast buffet had bread, waffles and cereal, and we didn’t even attempt to go in the pool or hot tub for sanitary reasons. Lastly, there was suspicious people clearly living at the hotel and a loud party going on in the ballroom with people pouring out into the parking lot and noise very excessive. 10 out of 10 would recommend never staying here even if it’s the last option available. Go elsewhere!!!!!"
