Sleep Inn Austintown - Youngstown, West

"The third floor that we were staying in is in the process of being renovated. The room 308 smelled like a cigarette ashtray. It was disgusting. I asked to be changed, but they told me that the hotel was sold out. The breakfast sucks. You can’t even call it a continental breakfast. There were no waffles available. To toast or to make fresh. The hard-boiled eggs looks like they were about three days old. It had a supply of rolls muffins, donuts. You’ve had a bowl of bananas and had a bowl of very ripe bananas. Not at all what I expected. Had to go across the highway to Bob Evans to get any kind of a decent breakfast. We slept there that was about it. The pool is broken, not expected to be fixed until the end of the month. Overall, not real happy with the site. I’m hoping that sleep in will finish the remodeling and up their game. There’s a lot of room to up the game. Thank you I hope this helps someone. Right now only if it’s a last possibility. I would go someplace else if you can."

It gives credit where it’s due while explaining the breakfast situation constructively. ★★★★☆ (4/5) We stayed one night at the Wingate Suites by Wyndham in Austintown and had a comfortable stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel was quiet, making it a good place to rest after a long day of travel. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only disappointment was the complimentary breakfast. We were not aware before arriving that the breakfast area was under renovation. Instead of the usual breakfast buffet, guests were given a limited breakfast menu. As a vegetarian, I found the options quite limited, and there wasn’t much that was filling. I ended up with plain oatmeal and muffins, and even the orange juice came in a small carton. It was understandable given the renovations, but it was definitely more limited than we expected based on previous reviews. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would certainly consider staying here again once the renovations are complete. I would simply recommend that the hotel mention the temporary breakfast changes on its website or booking pages so guests know what to expect before they arrive."
