"The whole hotel was under renovation including the swimming pool and jacuzzi (closed). But neither Expedia nor the hotel posted the renovation with pool photo prominently displayed on the website. Early, in the morning while I was inside my shower, a construction worker knocked the door, wanting to put on caulking inside the shower. I refused. He said he will back later. I refused, as he is a third-party employee with no right to enter my room during my stay. He insisted he has the right to return later and rudely educated me on whether I had seen the renovation sign in the front desk, that would give him the full right to access my room during my stay. I finally called the front desk to intervene. As a summary, the hotel has poorly managed the renovation and should have posted the renovation on the website and should have educated the construction workers properly. I didn't know if the worker has re-entered my room after I was away, but I did sense new caulking smell in the shower when I came back at night. The prominent posting of the swimming pool and jacuzzi photo was a misrepresentation on the Expedia website when such amenities were being renovated."
