"Check-in was very quick and easy with no issues. We drove 6 hours for my husband’s graduation, so we were exhausted and looking forward to relaxing once we arrived. Unfortunately, our first room was unacceptable. There were dirty towels and pillowcases, the bathroom was dirty, the remotes had no batteries, the microwave was missing the plate, and there was even a towel covering the fire detector. We had also booked a non-smoking room, but the room and entire building smelled heavily of smoke.
I immediately contacted the front desk, and they did move us to another room. Our original booking was for a king bed, but they asked if we would accept a double room instead. At that point we were tired and just wanted to shower and rest, so we agreed.
The second room was in the non-smoking building and was slightly better, but still not great. The towels, pillowcases, and sheets still appeared dirty. The room had noticeable maintenance issues including gaps between the floorboards and walls, curtains that did not fully cover the windows allowing excessive light in, and gaps around the door where light came through. The inside card reader on the door was also broken. The room had a coffee maker, but it was dusty, old, and had no filters. There was also no iron or ironing board cover. To make matters worse, we found roaches in the room.
Housekeeping during our stay was disappointing as well. The rooms did not appear to be swept properly and barely vacuumed. Trash was taken out and towels"
