The accommodation is a bit old-fashioned and furnished in a rustic style with older furniture. The rooms, common areas and the shared bathroom were clean. A supermarket, the beach, and the city center can be reached in about 10 minutes. Overall, the stay was fine for one night.

We arrived at 7.30ish so we were out of hours got a key to the room with a map to show us where to go.. Easy. But walked in the room it smelled stale and was not appealing so we left... It is more about having a Choice and I chose not to stay.

Totally enjoyed my stay. Check-in went smoothly and was very quick. Bonus it’s a pet friendly hostel which makes it even better as my dog was allowed in the facility. Highly recommend!

The pool, sauna and jacuzzi are amazing and are included in the price of your stay!! I also really liked the outdoor eating areas and the communal kitchen and lounge areas were lovely to chill with new friends. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful and had a lot of local information. It was great to have a kitchen, which had everything you need, to make your own food. Very cheap accommodation, really good value for money - I would highly recommend this hotel/hostel.

Le mail envoyé par l’auberge stipulait que la réception fermait à 18h. Je suis arrivée à 16h50, tout etait déjà fermé. Les horaires sur la porte indiquaient fermeture à 17h… soit mais je suis arrivée avant 17h de toute façon. J’ai tenté de les appeler, sans réponse… J’ai du trouver un autre hébergement en urgence, merci !!!

Friendly team and great facilities. We look forward to coming back when the weather is warmer and the cafe and pool are open. Well equipped kitchen facilities providing 180⁰ views of the mountains whilst cooking. Great location being centrally located on the main road a 5 minute walk from the town centre.

Needed a bed for short stay in Kaikoura en route to Picton ferry. Dusty Lodge was available, pet friendly and the lower end of budget. Arrived after reception shut but they had left key and instructions to room. It was very small especially considering we paid $20 extra for a dog but was equipped with a tv, fan, stools, desk and plenty of hooks which I like for hanging bags, leashes, coats etc. Could see a pool, spa and sauna plus 2 kitchens which we didn't have time to use. Not used to sharing a bathroom with strangers so that was a big minus - reason why I wouldn't likely book again. Nice walking distance to dairy open til 11pm and next morning to bakery for coffee and scone.

카이코우라에서의 좋은 추억을 안겨준 숙소. 사교적인 분위기에서 다양한 사람들을 만날 수 있는 곳. 시설은 넓고 깨끗했으며 직원들은 모두 친절했다. 특히 리셉션의 abbey는 아주 친절하고 카이코우라에서 해야하는 것들을 많이 추천해주었다. 온수 욕조와 사우나가 아주 좋았다.
