Our room was clean and appropriate although there was a rip in the carpet in the middle of the room. The reasoning of giving just a good rating is we had a room on the basement level. The carpets in the hallway were dirty and not vacuumed. Rated Inconvenient as we arrived a little early hoping to get into our room. We were put on a waiting list. It was so crowded in the lobby at least 40 or more people waiting to check in. Many people did not go to the front desk to be put on the wait list and seemed upset. Seems there might be a better process as this is the first time we have experienced such chaos in checking in.

This property was nasty. The pool was yellow and green and had active mold on the floor. Rooms were not ready so there was a line going out the door and they were taking numbers for who got to check in first. Rooms were dirty and had stains on curtains and other areas of room.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our ac did not get cold enough and there was a stain on our carpet. They said my room would be ready in 10 mins to go and eat and come back. They gave our room away. The breakfast during the week was not nearly as good the weekend breakfast. My son really liked the pool but at times too many people and very noisy.

An older property that is super-convenient for sports venues but not much else, particularly if you are relying on ride share options. That said, I was in town for baseball, and this property was clean, staff were friendly, and the free breakfast had decent variety.

Terrible housekeeping. Only came to our room once in a week! Always had to ask the front desk for toilet paper and towels. Poor breakfast options during the week. Weekend was supposed to be a hot breakfast but nobody showed up to make the hot food! Definitely room for lots of improvement. Two front desk employees smoking right in the doorway to go into the hotel by the pool. Very bad place for a smoking area. You have to walk right through it to get inside. Pretty disappointing service overall.

Place smelled great and very clean lobby. Elevator situation was horrible, stopped going each direction so you had to ride up if you wanted to go down and vice versa. Only one worked and it was super slow. Cleaning staff also bogged down the elevator with their usage. Ice machine on 3rd floor didnt work so had yo take elevator to different floor...did i mention it was slow and time consuming.

I booked in advance through Expedia, but when I arrived at Hotel Lotus, I was told they didn’t have my room available — even though I had my confirmation with me. Their only “solution” was to charge me $75 extra for an alleged upgrade. Completely unfair and unprofessional. The worst part is they took no responsibility for the mistake, and if Expedia hadn’t stepped in and relocated me to another hotel, I would’ve been left without a place to stay after a long trip. Extremely disappointed by the lack of organization and empathy from the staff. I would not stay here again and definitely don’t recommend it. If you book here, be prepared for them not to honor your reservation. A Patrick Mahomes throw from Arrowhead, this hotel does the job for an overnight stay. I didn’t mind the simple breakfast at all (similar to what you’d find at McDonald’s or 7-Eleven).

Room was clean, staff was nice but the property is very much in need of a renovation. Generally dirty, hallways and elevator lobbies were dirty, strong odor from "air freshener". Adjacent property is a concrete slab from a large building that apparently was demolished and abandoned. Overall did not enjoy our stay here and will not return.

It's fine for what it is; a super convenient location for Royals/Chiefs game. But there's nothing around it. There's a giant weird hole in the middle of the parking lot that looks like maybe it used to be a pool but is now just a vacant lot. A woman wandered the halls at 5:00 a.m. screaming obscenities at someone on the phone for about half-an-hour without anyone doing anything about it. The wifi never did work very well for me; I mentioned it and they did reset the router but it didn't seem to help. No coffee lids for the to-go coffee cups that are provided. Again, I wasn't expecting much and that's pretty much what I got. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was hot, I will say that!

I would NOT recommend staying here. The only positive was that it was close to Kauffman Stadium. Everything else about my stay was unpleasant. I paid $50 for an early check in fee, and the room temperature never was below 76. They told me to use a fan in addition to the "AC". I reported the problem the next morning, and they said maintenance would look at it. I returned 7 hours later, and maintenance did NOT look at it. They switched me to a 2nd room, where the temperature did not go below 75. The TV remote did not work and the room had an odd smell. Across both rooms, the WiFi didn't work (they gave me the code for their front desk one, but that also wouldn't work on the 5th floor). When I checked out, I asked if they did luggage storage for a few hours since I was attending the baseball game, and they said they did not store luggage. After complaining and repeatedly asking, they finally agreed to hold it for a few hours. This experience was very unpleasant, and I would not return. Awful hotel and young staff is entirely unhelpful (except for one person who appeared to be the GM).

Stayed specifically to attend KC Royals baseball game. Easy walk to the stadium. Free parking at the hotel. Convenient location for driving from Missouri or Kansas.

There is nothing around the hotel. No restaurants. Either you have to uber or have your own car.

The Hotel itself was great. Only thing is that automatic air freshener was very potent. Everything else was great.

Wifi doesn't work properly. Elevators are extremely slow and randomly open at floors when the button isn't pushed for it. One positive is that it's across the way from Kauffman Stadium.
